Theresa and Alexis are the creative minds behind Nerds with Needles. Their knitting journeys started in childhood but blossomed later in life, leading them to the world of yarn dyeing. Theresa’s love for fantastical inspiration and Alexis’s geeky inclinations merged into the birth of Nerds with Needles. You can find them at events, markets, and always exploring the vibrant fiber community. Traci later joined the team, bringing her passion for crochet, creativity, and storytelling to the Nerds with Needles family.

Theresa rekindled her love for fibre arts after a childhood interest in knitting. She expanded her skills to crochet and weaving but struggled with color choices. A yarn dyeing class with her friend Lex ignited her creativity, leading to the birth of Nerds With Needles.

Alexis learned to knit from her mother but returned to it in her 20s to help manage her ADHD. Embracing her geeky side, she integrated knitting with her interests in D&D, video games, and comics, which led her to explore all things fibre like crocheting and dyeing.

Traci learned to knit at a young age and enjoyed the craft for many years before discovering crochet later in life. What began as a practical way to create handmade gifts soon grew into a passion for fibre arts, leading her to join the Nerds With Needles team.
