Have you ever done a left brain/right brain test? The theory is that everyone has a dominant side. Analytical thinkers are said to be left-brained, while creative thinkers are right-brained. Fibre artists, especially knitters and pattern writers, often balance both. That’s where I’ve spent most of my life!

I discovered knitting later than some, but my creative urge was always there. With degrees in economics and statistics, I dabbled in various crafts without committing to one. After multiple failed attempts at knitting, my mother finally challenged me to do it myself. With help from experienced knitters and YouTube, I quickly learned it wasn’t so intimidating!

I’ve since learned many stitches and started experimenting with my own patterns. Creating beautiful things from yarn is my passion. When designing, my pen and calculator are always beside my needles and yarn!

As a full-time professional in the entertainment industry, knitting is my creative refuge. Free Time Designs was born from my need to feed my creative soul. Meeting Theresa and Alexis in 2021 with their hand-dyed yarn was a fateful opportunity. Now, I bring my designs to life with superior, local products that are just right for my vision!
